Darcy Rankin is a settler who grew up on Tommeginner Country in NW Tasmania.
He is a current candidate for the Masters of Landscape Architecture at RMIT. Darcy's research is concerned with the Ontopathological condition of Settler Australia and how this is symptomatically expressed as ecological degradation of the land through extraction and pollution and the systematic marginalisation of peoples. He considers opportunities for reflection, remediation and reparation for this through designed reorientation toward the depth of the gift of Indigenous Australian sovereignty.
