Eric Nyembezi Makoni is an urban planner and lecturer in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. He recently attained a PhD in urban planning law from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is a member of the Africa Decolonial Research Network (ADERN) and a committed scholar in the decoloniality/decolonization of law, space and society in the global South.
