Peter Downton is Professor of Design Research, RMIT University. He is part of several research groupings conducting projects inquiring into the ways design is undertaken in different fields, and the relations of people to their designed environments. He has examined practicebased designing and making, as,and published books and papers on this research. He supervises PhDs from each of the discipline areas in the School of Architecture + Design, RMIT University.
